I am also a Licensed Minister at Church of Atlanta Lighthouse, Inc.

I chose this career path because I love working with young people and I now work at a school for young adults ages 16 to 24 and I try to make sure that they are steered in the right direction and learn to form good social skills which will enable them to obtain a good job opportunity.

I am an alumni of this center and before I even graduated, I was approached to take a positon for someone who was going out on maternity leave. The center had asked my teacher if there was anyone who they felt was ready to begin working and could handle the position and I was recommended for it. I took it and after 3 months when the leave replacement was over, they asked me if I wanted to stay on and gave me my pick of seretarial positions and I chose the healthcare  position and have grown in the field ever since.

My biggest challenge is seeing young people reach their goals and making sure they get what they need in life to hold down a job and that they learn what they should and shouldn't do in different situations.

My strengths lie in helping peole and being a very giving person-giving money, advice and also helping the elderly and the homeless.

My greatest accomplisment is going back to college and still needing to finish my Bachelor's degree after completing Votech and realizing that I love working in the business side of education and I want to get my Bachelor's degree in Business.

My goals are to get trained in cooking/catering and become a Culinary Arts Instructor at this Center and to grow my Mary Kay business, grow my Ministry as I am also a minister and train people in gardening as I love to garden.

I have always been inspired by young people and have enjoyed working with them and helping people. Also, one of the Supervisors here has always been an inspiration to me and has given me on the job training.

I want to be remembered as a person with a big heart who is willing to help people no matter their status and for being very compassionate and willing to help at no cost and always living by what I preach.

I am very active in my church along with the NAPW-National Association of Professional Women, National Job Corp Alumni Association and I will be participating in the IAAP-International Association of Administrative Professionals shortly.

I always support my church. I am drawn to and passionate about charitable organizations such as Disciples of Christ. 

My hobbies include gardening, cooking, going out to eat, reading and walking.
