In earlier years, when I first started out there were some gender challenges that I had to overcome. In order to be recognized, I had to be successful way above the standards.

I consider my strengths to be in leadership; mentoring, coaching and empowering my team. I am great at getting a team to work together and have no problem in rolling up my sleeves and working hard at any level.

I am most proud that I was able to go through a life changing event ( I was a young widow with a 5 year old), and still able to go back to school, work and raise my daughter and flourished in all my endeavors.

When it comes time for me to "retire", I may consider opening up my own consulting firm.

I came from a very humble family that raised 7 children and always inspired us to have good work ethic. Also, along the way, in my career, I have come across some amazing people that had given me very valuable information and advice that enabled me to grow into the person I am today.

I want to be remembered as a tough manager/leader that was extremely fair and helped others grow as individuals and especially within their careers.

I participate with DAMA International-Data Management Association Internatiolnal, TDWI- The Data Warehouse Institute, IDMA-Insurance Data Management Association, OMG- Object Management Group and NAPW- National Association of Professional Women.

I have been named NAPW's Woman of the Year 2011-2012 and I have received their Woman of Outstanding Leadership Award.

I support St. Margaret's Church and the American Cancer Society.

I have a 6 year old grandchild that I love to spend time with and I also enjoy traveling.
