I have been in custodial and environmental services for over 14 years. I started my career at the front desk of a hotel and wanted to get into Hotel Management. I wound up working in different departments and worked on the housekeeping side. I worked in several different hotels, hospitals and schools-all on the janitorial side. Then I dabbled in Casino environmental services and moved into management and eventually selling services.

Most of my training has been hands-on and I did some online schooling in Hotel Management. I completed just under 2 years of education in that field.

My biggest challenge has been finding a good balance between work and home. Its challenging to be the best mom I can be for my children and give them the time they deserve, while also continuing to advance in my career.

I am a great manager who likes working with people and helping my team progress. I am a great mentor who assists them in becoming the best they can be and move up in the company.

My biggest accomplishment is that people who have worked with me , have asked me to take them when I leave a position. Employees are always telling me that I have helped them.

For me, I have noticed this year , that my visibility within the company has changed. In the position I was in before, the management team did not take the time to notice my potential as a leader. The management team now asks for my ideas and input and tells me to run with it. I want to move out from Wilkes-Barre and perhaps get back into Hotel Management. I feel that the road I have taken so far is leading me in that direction and I am doing more networking.

I am also inspired by the need I have identified throughout my professional career for effective and positive leadership, and I know that is what I bring to the table.

I want to be remembered as an inspiration to others to progress and succeed.
