I chose this career path because I was always good at numbers and I'm an analytical person. I love doing accounting.
I prepared for this career by
I received by Bachelors of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Alberta (2004). I received my Professional Chartered Accountant (2006).
The biggest challenge I've overcome
As a woman of only 32 I find it hard breaking through the glass ceiling.
My greatest strength(s)
I am very outgoing and I give back to the profession. I teach and mentor students; sit on the Board of Financial Executives International.
My greatest accomplishment to date
My greatest accomplishment is getting the opportunity to be Chief Financial Officier at twenty nine years old.
My personal/professional goals
My vision is to continue to have the utmost integrity in my profession and be a good role model to others.
What/Who has inspired me the most
Three things: Like what you do; you are well compensated and you are rewarded. I enjoy what I do. I like finance and accounting. I really like being involved with students and mentoring them.
I most want to be known/remembered for
I want to be remembered for making a difference no matter how small. I want to make an impact on people's lives.
