Even though I received my degree in biology and chemistry with a minor in literature, I came to realize that my true passion was in writing and my love of the entertainment industry. I love to talk to people about up-and-coming talent.

I have my formal education, a BS Degree, but in this industry it really comes down to your drive and dedication, your willingness to put in the time, and when all else fails, taking a leap of faith and going for it. Much of what I know has been self-taught or learned from the best teacher of all - experience.

I work with mentors and take every opportunity possible to learn about the industry. I am disciplined, I work hard, and I have an innate talent to tell a story and write about it.

The film industry is a male dominated field and the filmmakers and directors are predominantly male. They are not their to empower women, it is something we need to do for ourselves and encourage other women to do the same. 

I am a leader, and I refuse to follow anyone, except for other strong leaders. I am a huge advocate for the empowerment of others. Additionally, I have a great work ethic, strong communication skills and I am creative, organized, and disciplined. 

The magnitude of being the first one in my family to graduate college is huge - I was so proud to graduate! At the same time, listening to my mother's words and writing "Lost Little Girl", which was then turned into an award winning film, is a proud accomplishment for me as well. 

I want to go all the way. I want not only to be a writer and a filmmaker, I want to be a producer and a director. 

My mom always drove me to do my best, just as her mother did. It was my mom who told me that I had a talent and I should pursue it to fulfill my potential. I want to take care of my mom the way she took care of me.

The message I want to leave behind is, "Don't ever give up - don't quit! It may take one thousand "No's" before you get that "Yes." Just keep going until you get it."
