MOSAIC is a multilingual, non-profit organization dedicated to assisting immigrants and refugees with their settlement and integration needs. Through a variety of programs and services, MOSAIC helps its clients participate fully in Canadian society. Since its inception over 35 years ago, MOSAIC has become one of the Lower Mainland’s largest immigrant-serving organizations.

Our mission is to empower immigrants, refugees and newcomers through leadership and innovation in service delivery, community building and advocacy. Our values drive our relationships with clients, funders, community partners, staff and volunteers.

My career in Education was inspired by my mother, who was a life-long learner and huge advocate for education. I started as a volunteer and then a teacher. Today, I teach English to new comer Canadians and work with non-profit organizations and help immigrants to adapt to their new culture as well as teach them English.

I prepared for this career by obtaining my B.A. in Arts and Anthropology and my M.A. in Education and Foundation in Curriculum.

The biggest challenge I've overcome is sometimes being taken as seriously as I would if I were male. Also, establishing a point of contention.

My greatest strength is my energy. I can multi-task and do so much at once. I am also flexible and very versatile and I sincerely enjoy people and love to learn about others!

My greatest accomplishment to date was going back to school and earning my Master's degree late in life.

My professional goal is to go into Journalism. I write now both online and in publications and know I will eventually write a book.

I am inspired most by my love of learning; I truly love my job. My mom was very passionate about education and almost went into that profession. She ended up working in a business as CFO but her love of learning definitely had an impact on me.

I most want to be remembered as a person who advocates for others and stands beside them in support.

I participate in children's causes such as, Because I Am A Girl.
