I chose this career path because
My first career was nursing. I was a nurse for thirty years, working in the operating room. I retired and started working with a financial advisor for my own finances. He recruited me and it's now seven years later I am enjoying my second career.
I prepared for this career by
I received my BSN for nursing and a certificate to to be a nurse in the operating room. Once I went into financial advising, I took and passed the Life and Health Series 63 and 35. I also passed the Series 26, specifically to be a branch manger.
The biggest challenge I've overcome

My greatest strength is my maturity. I've been working for many, many years and have a lot to offer. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and I am bilingual. My office just moved to a high Hispanic community which enables me to help this group much more easily.
