I am the  Founder & CEO of Women Empowered Global, which offers a dedicated career and business accelerator platform for women in business, women pursuing STEAM careers, and female professionals in industry, SME and trade.  I had been in General management in an IT firm and realized I had a passion for coaching. At McQuire Rens and Jones, where I have been for 5 years, I progressed onto the Board.

I was a Coach & Soft Skills Trainer focusing on leadership, team engagement, public speaking & presentation skills, customer service, sales & marketing, emotional intelligence, time & task management, corporate communication, personal branding, business etiquette and much more. I directed the coaching to both genders, but realized that women needed it much more and needed to be in leadership positions in order to make a global impact.

I obtained an MBA from the University of Sunderland and a PhD. from IUA.

I am Sri Lankan , but my vision is Global. It was challenging being a South Asian woman born to the upper middle class. I personally felt enormous suppression from my family and discrimination. Ours is a Patriarchal Society and in rural communities the men rape and abuse women. I have a very young daughter and I am worried about where society is heading. We need to be a more progressive culture.

Leadership training, administering needs assessments and being able to quickly develop a leadership program based on those needs is my strength. I have the abilityto develop programs that enhance the ability to compete with men and other women. I am excellent in coaching and mentoring others tocreate positive attitudes and professional skills.. I am good at skill training, presenting in front of huge groups and in helping women obtain leadership positions.

My greatest accomplishment thus far, is receiving an award in 2017 from The Women's Economic Forum .

MY goal is to see a Global Community of women and that I have trained a substantial amount of women to help others speak up.

In Sri Lanka , I have launched a business incubator and 1 in 10 businesses are being built by women. In February 2018 I am launching TV segments (2 episodes a month) about empowering women. I am starting a career accelerator program for aspiring managers on a public platform every other month

I am very spiritually receptive to my universal calling and that inspired me to open my non-profit

I ant to be remembered as a genuine woman who went through alot to make a difference not for myself but to impact women who did not have a voice.
