IT was not my original plan, however I have been in the industry for 30 years. I really ended up here by experience and happenstance!

I did not receive a formal education in IT. Much of what I know and my successes, I owe to exposure, experience, and on-the-job training. I also am grateful to those who accepted, encouraged and supported me for not only what I could contribute, but who I am, genuine and authentic.

I know first hand what it feels like to be treated differently in a professional setting because you are a woman. In one of my only sales positions, I was the only woman among a boys club. I felt that I was not taken seriously because of gender and how I looked.  I was expected to date clients and other sales people in the company in order to get sales.

Among my greatest strengths are my abilities to connect and collaborate. I am also a very straight forward person and enjoy mentoring others on their competencies and development.

I am proud that I have become as successful as I have am without having a college degree. I am also proud to say that I have 13 nieces and nephews whom I inspire and look to me for help and guidance based on what I have achieved.

My goal is to be promoted to director in the near future.  In 10 years I plan to retire from corporate environment and do more to please my creative desires.  I also want the respect and pay that I know I deserve.

I want to be remembered for being an inspirational leader who broke barriers.
