I began my career was a social worker, and did that for a while. 10 years ago, my daughter became ill and I got a temporary position with NASA. I been working for the Federal Government for 16 years and I enjoy problem solving and analyzing.

I went through the Government's Management Analysis Program and studied Management Concepts at the USDA Graduate School. I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Illinois State University.

My biggest challenge throughout my professional career has been achieving a good work-life balance. 

I am a great organizer, facilitator and presenter. I am also great at time management, which I demonstrate through my work as 2nd Vice President of The AME Zion.

I am most proud of the way I have raised my two wonderful children. My daughter just finished her MSW and my son is graduating from college.

My goal is to retire in about 5 years and then I picture myself becoming more involved in the community and religious organizations.

My love of people inspires me most and through them interaction and growth. I was very ill 2 years ago and now feel I have another chance at life.
