For over 40 years, Pope Consulting has been helping companies learn how to communicate and work together more effectively. We have had the privilege of working with over 250 of the most well-known Fortune 500 companies, as well as non-profits, government agencies, and colleges/universities.

Back in the day when I was going to school and into college, there was a lot going on in the world and I became very involved in the movements for affirmative action, women's rights and diversity.  I embraced these concepts and lived them. As a white women in the 70s I married a black man, a sociologist who graduated from Yale who had amazing insight and we started our company 40 years ago. Together we built Pope Consulting and weathered many storms and earned a reputation as leaders in the field.

I have a BA degree is in Business and the Social Sciences, and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development from Pepperdine University.

When my husband was alive, we faced many challenges starting and growing the company including financial, equity and weathering economic ups and downs, all while raising our two sons. Since his passing I continue to face them without him, and I was especially challenged in the aftermath of September 11th when the economy dropped off .  It was a fairly dire time for me in business but I attended a seminar that turned me around and I stayed the course.

I am creative and I am a leader. I work hard and tirelessly to meet expectations.

Personally, it is my two wonderful and successful children who have given me 3 grandchildren! I have watched both my sons businesses flourish. Professionally, it is keeping the company going and growing as a single mom after my husband passed away.

I have recently completed a new e-learning tool. Of course it's always about growing the company and getting new clients. I am also thinking about what is next for me, my succession plan and relocating both my home and my business to Florida, and bringing my oldest son on board.

I love what I do. It doesn't feel like work to me, it is rewarding and has made me a better parent. What we do makes a difference in the world.
