I started my career in the business world, in purchasing. I was a marketing major and found that it was not for me. I landed a job working on the accounting side of education and soon discovered the absolute love I have for the students and helping them. I am truly passionate about working to help all students have the same higher educational opportunities. 

I am currently pursuing my Doctoral degree in Leadership, and I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in leadership. 

It is true there is still the issue of being apart of the the Boys' club but balancing a family and the long hours was tough earlier in my career. 

My passion for people and equality. 

Raising two adult children who have become productive and bring the same compassion for education and mankind.

I am currently at the stage of life where I am dealing with an aging mom, and a daughter who has had a physical set back - thankfully she is on the mend. I would like to spend more quality time and eventually take on a consultancy role where I can tend to both my own career goals and spending quality time with family. But, that is a long term goal for now. I am hoping to complete my Doctorate sometime in 2019. I want to expand my networking and build my brand. 

My faith keeps me doing and giving, and certainly the spiritual leadership and mentors that have guided me along the way are the inspirations that keep me going. 

I want them to remember I cared and I was authentic and genuine, and that it is not about what I was able to achieve and where I was able to get in life - it was about being able to give back and make a difference in someone's life. 

I love to read and travel. I enjoy sports with my husband who is a definite sports enthusiast!
