I chose this career path because

My original plan was to become a Journalist, however my parents had a friend that introduced me to art and after taking classes with him, I fell in love with it! Although my career path went in a different direction, I will always be a writer and an advocate.

I prepared for this career by

I studied art at the Art Center School of Design at the University of California, Los Angeles.

The biggest challenge I've overcome

In the very early stages of my Art career, women's equality was practically non-existent. I went by "Pat" in an effort to conceal my gender, and many of my peers did the same.

My greatest strength(s)

My artistic abilities and my involvement in meaningful causes are among my greatest strengths.

My greatest accomplishment to date

I have been married twice and lost both of my husbands and survived that. I am with my current partner for the last 16 years, he is 93 years old and is writing a self-published book. 

My personal/professional goals

My goal is to continue working in my studio and staying as involved as I can within my community.

I most want to be known/remembered for

I want to be remembered as someone who was very involved in the community and who was passionate about helping others.
