I chose this career path because of my passion for people. I have been in healthcare for over 30 years and started as an Advance Practice Community Public Health Nurse. I have focused on healthcare delivery systems and health policy development. I started with the company as the Director and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer.

My academic studies and formal education, along with my commitment to on-going personal development and self-study has prepared for where I am today. I also have had great mentors along the way.

My biggest challenge has been involving myself in the appropriate or the "right" network to support me and my career goals. I also strongly feel that women as a whole are faced with the challenge of inequality in regard to pay and recognition. 

Among my greatest strengths are abilities to communicate and build effective, high-performing teams. I also am an advocate, and I advocate for people regardless of what level they are.

My greatest accomplishment is having more of a spiritual relationship with my higher being, God and related that to my service.

My professional goal is to offer and give my help in developing others for the better. I also want to further develop my leadership qualities as a woman and embrace my womanhood to have that confidence from within.

I am inspired by the quest to know more and the desire to include others.

I want to be remembered as someone who helped others - helping them find that why, sharing and drawing others in.

I am a member of the DC Chapter of the American Pediatric Association.

I support the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, DC Can Stop Asthma Now, and Wounded Warriors.

I enjoy traveling, partnering with community clubs and spending time in my church. I am also a published author!
