I was a tour bus driver for 18 years, and that career did not allow me to spend as much time as I would have liked with my family. When my grandchildren came along, I knew I needed to make a change. I always loved helping people, so healthcare seemed like the perfect fit. I went to a training center in Virginia to learn and become a certified home-based care provider, where my focus is on helping those with special needs. I have since been in the profession for 11 years, and I love what I do!

I prepared for my career by receiving my certifications in CPR and First Aide. I went through an extensive investigation and got my house ready as a provider. I do continuous yearly training. 

My biggest challenge is taking care of my father, while also caring for others.

My greatest strength is dealing with people and helping those in need.

My greatest accomplishments are my children and that I was able to put them all through college.

My goal is to eventually retire, and live a comfortable life that allows me to help my children financially. 

I am inspired by life, my children and grandchildren and helping others.

I want to be remembered for helping others who didn't have a voice.

I volunteer in the community.

I enjoy scrapbooking, furniture shopping and window shopping.
