I am a Founding member of the John Maxwell Training Team and I am an expert in professional development, public speaking and a practical group facilitator, mentor and teacher. I work with groups, helping access the most effective way of working together and with individuals, facilitating the positive changes you want to make in your life.

I started my career as a High School Performing Arts teacher working with students in a high performance classroom. Things started to change in education and in our school and when the programs for the arts started being cut I decided it was time for me to do something else. As a teacher I consulted with students to achieve success and maximize their talents, so may career in consulting with professionals and organizations to do the same was really a natural transition. I now work with CEOs and their team of leader to create a high performance culture in their organization.

I received my Master's in Education from the University of Iowa and Bachelor's in Education from Wartburg College. I am also a Certified John Maxwell Speaker, Trainer and Coach. Through John Maxwell training I am always continuing and furthering my education. The John Maxwell training is unique in that after going through the initial training, you enter into their mentor-ship program which allows me to continue and further my education.

In the beginning of my career as a consultant, people told me that men in business would not take me seriously because I am a woman. However, I have actually found there are more benefits to being a woman in this field than there are challenges. 90% of my clients are men, and I find that when they are working with me, as opposed to another man, they don't feel their masculinity is being challenged. Often times when two men work together they hook horns and it becomes competitive, which is counter productive in consulting work.

I have always been able to see the potential and talent in other people and help them live into the dream that they have for themselves. I am also comfortable holding people accountable and I don't shy away from conversations that go around accountability.

Professionally, my greatest accomplishment was taking a leap of faith 6 years ago to start MaxiMumm Effect and getting through all of the hardships that came with it to come out on the other side. I look to the future with excitement and see so many opportunities on the horizon. 

My vision for growing me is to continue to invest in me and my own education, knowing that my business is limited by what I can and cannot do.  For my business, I am working to establish a solid online presence. There are so many great people that I can't necessarily work face-to-face with but would love to have the opportunity to interact with.

One of my big goals is to get to a place where I can hire people and make a contribution into the financial lives and stability of other people. 

My beliefs do stem from Christianity and I have a strong faith in God. I know that people have a purpose and if I get to be the silent power or second piece in their life that helps them figure it out and be productive, efficient members of society that contribute to the world, that gives my life purpose.

I want to be remembered as someone who has a really good time. When people talk about me, I want them to say, "She was fun, we laughed, and we learned".
