I love people. I love helping not only the children but the parents as well.

My degree was actually in medical sociology and I was in the military. Unexpected right? I started working at the childcare center on the base. The facilities were not in the best shape, to say the least, but the people who worked there were so wonderful. I just fell in love with working with them and and helping the children. I also found I was quite good at it and I worked at and ran three other facilities before opening my own. If you find your good at something you love doing, and can make a living at it, hold on to it, don't let go and work hard.

I have found that working parents often feel guilty about leaving their children all day and sometimes try to overcompensate as a result. We often have to remind them that they are doing what's best for their family to help them overcome those feelings and get them to work with us in a collaborative effort to do what's best for the child.

I am good at what I do. I get these kids ready for... Life!

It is so rewarding when my students come back years later and I see how well they're doing and they thank me for helping to lay that foundation. More than that though, we've helped families in so many ways and I love to see them come out on top, knowing that in some way I helped them get there.

My goal is to continue expanding and growing. I would like more room to be able to take on more children, especially infants. The little ones need room to stretch and grow.

I come from a family of caregivers. I grew up surrounded by nurses and teachers and I'd have to say it's in my blood to help people.

I'd like to be remembered for being a positive influence in the lives of these families and in my community.

I do a lot of work with St. Vincent de Paul as well as finding help for the homeless. My center also offers our own programs and assistance to the families and children we work with.

I love to travel and I am an avid reader.
