I chose this career while going to school for medical billing and coding. I started to learn the back end of the system and got involved with interfacing foundation for HIE.

I prepare for my career through continuous education, conferences, speaking to developers and physicians.

My biggest challenge is the balance of managing my personal and professional career.

My greatest strength is being able to speak to people at different levels and being a good liaison.

My greatest accomplishment was designing and creating the CCDA for a Large Insurance Payor and leading the effort.

My professional goal is to connect, build the HIE and have it move into more states.

I am inspired by the fast moving field and there is always something new each day.
