I have been in the news media industry for 19 years, having spent my entire career with Rome Sentinel Company. Everyone thought I should be a music a music major in college and I considered performance. I wound up joining the school newspaper after a teacher suggested it and recommended me. Since I was a music geek, I became the music reporter. I always wanted to be different and I enjoyed writing. 

I am currently pursuing my Masters of Arts in Creative Writing and English from Southern New Hampshire University. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Utica College.

My greatest challenge as a women has been finding my niche professionally and accepting myself in it when I do. I do not fit into a mold, so I create my own mold. I've accepted that maybe there is no perfect box for me.

I am very hardworking, creative and open to learning on a continual basis. I am continuing my formal education and carry a 4.0 GPA and I am a member of 2 honor societies.

My greatest accomplishments include going back to school for my Master's and the impact I had on some of interns I've had the opportunity to host. Recently, I helped to get one of my interns a full-time position working under me, and it's very rewarding to know that their experiences shadowing me helped in some way to shape their professional career. 

I'm not sure what the future holds just yet, but I am definitely committed to exploring new avenues and new opportunities. First things first, I need to finish my Master's. After that, I am interested in a career in education, teaching at the college level.

What inspires me is my curiosity to see where I can go from here and what else can I do!

I want to be remembered as someone who always made good on the things I said I would do.
