Natalie Nevins, D.O., MSHPE
About me
Dr. Nevins served in the United States Air Force from 1998 to 2011, and was a Major in the Independent Ready Reserve. She has lectured for the California Preparedness and Education Network on issues related to Disaster Preparedness, Bioterrorism, Chemical and Radiological Warfare, and Emerging Infectious Diseases.
Dr. Nevins is Board Certified in Family Practice, Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine, and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She holds a Masters Degree is Health Professions Education and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Family Practice at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific.
She currently serves as the Director of Medical Education at Downey Regional Medical Center for the Family Medicine Residency Program and Program Director for the Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Residency Program. She also serves as the Medical Director at the Amrit Davaa Wellness Center at Golden Bridge Yoga Center in Hollywood California, where she sees patients on Mondays and Fridays. Dr. Nevins is on the Advisory Board Member at Grossman Burn Foundation and Medical Director at DRMC-Western Osteopathic Center for Well Being.
- Dr. Nevins is a Certified Kundalini Yoga instructor, and teaches class at Golden Bridge on Monday nights from 7:30 – 9:00 pm. Her class “Healthy Back and Body” is designed for all levels of students, but especially for those students with health problems or injuries who need a safe environment to begin or continue their yoga practice.

AD+ World Health is a dedicated group of doctors, health care providers, architects, engineers, electrians, filmmakers, yogis, global citizens, and others working together to provide sustainable humanitarian aid and medical relief to children and families in need. ADWH was started in April 2007 and is currently building permanent free eco-friendly clinics in Downey, California and Tawang, India a remote area of the Himalayas. To date, ADWH has led five medical missions to Tawang and setting up a temporary clinic stocked with $100,000 worth of medical and dental supplies. With our team of volunteer engineers, ADWH is also designing a water filtration system to deliver clean water to the region of Tawang. Construction has begun on permanent clinics in both Downey and Tawang.
Our approach to health care is holistic: it includes proper nutrition, exercise, clean water, education, and economic stability. Our model emphasizes working with the needs and directions of the people we are serving. We ask, we do not tell. ADWH forms Partnerships with local health care providers around the globe to maximize our impact and grow our organization, so that we, along with others, can help as many people requesting our assistance as possible. We offer humanitarian relief, including medicines, medical and dental supplies, nutritional supplements and other vital aid. ADWH increases the value of each donation with its in kind model and the contributions of medical and dental supplies and equipment made by partners like Direct Relief International and Giving Children Hope.
I chose this career path because
Dr. Nevins chose this career path because she wanted to improve the quality of life. Dr. Nevins has seen enough suffering. She has founded her Non-Profit doing free clinics around the world. So far she does the free clinics in India, Mexico and in Los Angeles, California. Her clinic serves 1,000 patients daily and provides free medical, dental and vision.

The biggest challenge I've overcome
My biggest challenge is getting people to understand the need that nobody chooses to be poor or sick. We need to educate our fellow man and help them to understand so they can take control of their own health.

Education is my passion for both patients and residences.

My greatest accomplishments are the collorabrations that I have built. Everyone has something to give and than you just put the pieces of the puzzle together.
My personal/professional goals
I am writing a book to teach others how to take control of their health. I am a lifelong learner.
What/Who has inspired me the most
I do not do well with human suffering.
I most want to be known/remembered for
I want to be remembered for educating the next generation of doctors to be caring and compassionate so they in turn will become excellent educators.
