I chose to go into education because I wanted to make an impact on children lives and on society. I want to motivate children to love learning and to continue to strive to do their best. I have been in education for 13 years, and held various positions within education including Childhood Development Coordinator, and I also coached at both the high school and college level. 

I began my formal education at Penn State, and graduated from McDaniel University with a Master's Degree in Education.

My biggest challenge has been learning how to handle a classroom of such diverse children, all with their own unique strengths and weaknesses, and finding a way to make sure that every student reaches their highest potential. Education is not one size fits all.

Among my greatest strengths as an educator is my ability to motivate and encourage my students and my positive outlook.

My greatest accomplishment has been earning my Master's and not just stopping there. I am a lifelong learner, and I am always seeking ways to continue my education.

My professional goal is to further my education in pursuit of becoming an Administrator. I would like also like to coach at the High School level again!

I am inspired by my faith, being a Youth Minister and by the amazingly strong support system I have in my husband, mother, father and brother.

I want to be remembered for making someone's life better and for positively impacting the world.

I enjoy spending time with my husband, walking my dog and praying.
