I was practicing as a nurse and I wanted to improve the quality of care for patients by advocating for them and teaching their caretakers how to provide quality care.

I received my BSN degree, two Masters Degrees and my JD degree. 

Making my way as a single woman was challenging - I wanted to do it all on my own.

My gratitude and my resiliency are my greatest strengths.

My children are my greatest accomplishment.

I am looking toward retirement, as I have just given my letter of intent and am excited to move on the next phase and chapter of my life. I do plan to continue to do research and consult on a part-time basis.

I love taking on projects and advocating, initially for the patients I cared for and for the faculty and students. I also love conducting research and I find my love for learning and education to be a great source of my inspiration.

I want to be remembered for being positive, having gratitude and for having used my gifts and skills to help many people.

I love to read and travel.
