I chose this career path because

My background has always been in human resources and talent management. I chose this career because I am passionate about people. My heart is in HR because I believe and I know that it is possible to take great care of your employees while still remaining a highly profitable company.

I am currently the HR coordinator at Ability 360, and have been in this position for the past 4 years. I was inspired to start my private company, Forbes Management, in 2008 after having worked at a few different doctor's offices. My experience at each office was similar, in that I found there was not anyone who fully understood every aspect of  HR, billing, scheduling, bookkeeping, etc. I thoroughly understand the different components that go into running a medical office, any really any office, and so I started offering my skills and my services to help other companies in a similar situation.

I prepared for this career by

Much of my preparation was acquired through experience, on-the-job training, and continuous education. I always was fortunate to have a strong mentor.

The biggest challenge I've overcome

My biggest challenge has been shattering that "glass ceiling" that absolutely still exists for women in the corporate world. Navigating the waters of that that good old boys club has been difficult.

My greatest strength(s)

My greatest strength include my intelligence and subject matter knowledge, my accuracy, my empathy, my persistence, my loyalty and my integrity.

My greatest accomplishment to date

For the past 4 years I have worked tirelessly on my brother's application to get home back from Jamaica. My brother was in the Marine Core, came back with a problem and was deported to Jamaica. He was born in Scotland, so I applied for a British passport for him. It's been an uphill battle, but the reward will be worth it, and I am proud for never giving up on the fight to bring him home.

My personal/professional goals

My personal goal is to find a man who is loving, kind, smart and fun. A man that is equal to my passion of kindness and intelligence and a man that love dogs.

What/Who has inspired me the most

I am a spiritual person and I am inspired every time I start losing faith, in knowing that Jesus Christ is on top of my shoulders saying I am with you, you can do this.

I most want to be known/remembered for

I want to be remembered for what I did for all animals, the person who fought for animals breed for sale, for every dog and cat to have a home and to have someone to love them.

I participate in the following organizations/memberships

I am a member of Mensa.

I support the missions of these charities/volunteer my time

I support the Special Olympics, St. Jude, U.S. Humane Society, AZ Humane Society, Save Chips Foundation and Wildlife Foundation.

I enjoy the following hobbies/interests

I love to travel and rescue dogs.
