I enjoy being in the health field and started as a hospital employee in 1978 in Ohio. In 2003, I joined All Children's Hospital as Support Staff Manager. I spent many years in Florida and when I moved to Maryland I was recruited, partly because of my familiarity with the National Institute of Health from my work with the hospital.

I received my Management Certification-FLA through All Children's Hospital and I took many online courses. I had training for Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) through the Government for Purchasing.

At the height of 4"11", it is getting people to respect me for my knowledge while being a petite woman.

My greatest strengths are coordination, presentation and getting the word across properly, as well as, overseeing projects to ensure they are done accurately and timely to benefit all programs.

I have a few great accomplishments. I came into my own at The All Children's Hospital. Everything was done manually and I worked with the Anderson Association to build a good Lab Information System and trained everybody on the system. At NIH, I have done so much with Global Health and I am the liaison for the General Inspector comments and investigations. I coordinate all inspections and reviews to ensure anything that NIH cites is accurate and true and up to date.

My plan is to retire in 3 years and do volunteer work for CASA. My current goal is to build up my team at the NIH to move forward. My plan is to continue to work with CASA with my daughter who is a volunteer there.

My inspiration is knowing with everyone's input and cooperation, we can make a change to the negative things affecting the world and watching my team grow.

I want to be remembered as a person who respected all people, respected others opinions and worked hard to lead people in the right direction through my Faith and what I do.
