I began my career in the Medical field in 1979. I was always interested in medicine, and what clinched it for me was a school project on Medical Technology when I just 14 years old!

I have a vision for our planet of global convergence, unification, and integration with peace of all peoples. The new quest is to be not only "survival of the fittest" but survival of the human species, as our universe expands.

I am passionate about helping other people and I am fascinated with the field.

Much of my preparation I owe to formal education and experience. I attended the University of Michigan where I received my B.S. in Zoology and went on to receive my M.D. I interned at the Pediatrics University of Southern California, where I became interested in Immunology and Allergy, and went on to complete a 1 year Felloship at UCLA in Immunology and Allergy with emphasis on Immunology.

My major challenge was hitting the "Glass Ceiling". Medicine is still a very male dominated field, and was even more so in the onset of my career. I was interested in moving upwards nationally, but as a result of a series of events in my personal life I made the decision to practice clinically. 

I owe where I am to today in my career and in my life to my persistence, empathy, honesty, and straight forwardness. 

My greatest accomplishment has been advancing in my profession to become the President of the Los Angeles Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology. I am also proud to be involved as the Director of the Global Health Initiative in the Southern California Division.

My goal is to continue practicing and making a difference, while also focusing more of my attention on my son, daughter, and grandson. 

I am inspired by the passion that I have for my specialty, the advancements that are being made, and above all the people that I help.

I want to be remembered for the success I have achieved despite all odds. I am from a small town in Michigan and when I told my parents I wanted to be a doctor they said we could never afford it. I excelled in Academia and received scholarships in order to go to school and attain my dream.
