I am a biologist, wildlife rescuer and high school teacher. Science and writing have always been my passions, and I want to pass on what I have learned. I have been writing for years, and have self-published and published several books and E-books. I write stories from my heart of all existence and my experiences. I teach, and constantly look for new ways to teach, children and teenagers about the native Australian animals.

I received my Graduate Diploma of Education in Science from the University of North East Australia and my BSc with Honours in Zoology from Canterbury University.

My biggest challenge has been finding the right balance between my family and my career - I want it all.

My greatest strengths are my enthusiasm and my passion for science, learning and education. 

My greatest accomplishment has been raising my family. Second to that, I am most proud of the career I have had thus far and for publishing my books.

My professional goal is to work on a book series, addressing the history of Africans and women of the 1600's. I want to teach others that women have always been powerful and driven and that Africans weren't just wisdom sheep, they were fighters.

I am inspired to live my life to the fullest. I have a bucket list, and when I reach the end of my journey here on Earth, I don't want any boxes to be left unchecked.

I am a member of the Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Services.

I received the Nanga MAI Award in 2012 for contributing the most to Aboriginal education.

My passion is doing wildlife rescue, which I have been doing for 40 years, and I enjoy writing and spending time with my family.
