I always had the heart and compassion to care for others, especially the elderly, and after my father passed away from cancer when I was just 16 years old, I started working at Butler Hospital in food services.  I worked in the kitchen half of the day and attended High School the other half of the day. I decided to pursue the resident side of healthcare, after being in food services for about 5 years.

I worked at Butler for almost 20 years, and moved from food services to transport. I made a career move and accepted a position at Concordia as a medical secretary. I have been with Concordia for 18 years and have I grown my position from medical secretary to Human Resource manager. Human Resources is a great fit for me.

I received my AA in Business Administration from BCCC and went on to receive my Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and my Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College. I also studied to become a licenced Personal Care Administrator and a licensed Nursing Home Administrator.

My biggest challenge is balancing work and family. Fortunately, I have the support of my husband and son and the people I work with, so that helps to lighten the load.

I am a positive person and I am continually learning. I love helping people at work and outside of work through emotional support or by physical means.

My greatest accomplishment is staying healthy and having a wonderful, happy family.

I would really enjoy running a home for Concordia and making a difference in the lives of residents.  I believe in making the residents have the best day possible while at our facility.  I am just waiting for the opportunity to open up.

Concordia is such a home away from home for me. The people I work with and the residents inspire me.

I want to be remembered for my volunteerism and helping other people out to ensure they have the best day and care possible.
