One of the reasons I chose this career was because my mother was a nurse as well. I started out with the intention of getting my medical degree, but it boiled down to the cost associated with continuing my education to become a doctor, and I decided against it. I've been a nurse for over forty years.

I prepared for this career by getting my Associate's degree in Science and Nursing and my Bachelor's in Criminal Justice.

I thankfully can't say that I have had any challenges.

My greatest strength is my opinion and I am not afraid to voice exactly how I feel.

My greatest accomplishment up to this point is creating the Medical Emergency Response Team for the inmate fire fighters as well as any fire fighters in the state of California.

I plan on retiring in the next six months. I was a message therapist at one point in my career and would like to get back to that or holistic medicine.

My family is my inspiration. I have two stepchildren, two grandsons and a great grandson.

I most want to be remembered for taking care of people and being a leader.

I participate in the California Correctional Supervision Organization.

I support the Wounded Warriors.

I enjoy going to Reno, watching movies and reading.
