Prior to my career in telecommunications, I was an investment banker for a niche finance company where I was responsible for monetizing underground leases, quick service businesses and gas stations.

In 2008, as the market changed, I went into consulting and realized that everyone in telecommunications looked at their business through anything but a financial lens. I understood how to run that type of business from a financial perspective and I identified that there was a need for my expertise. I enjoy the industry because it is exciting, and ever changing.

In 2011, I started Northeast Site Solutions. Northeast Site Solutions is a site acquisition company for the Telecom Industry. We acquire sites, do construction management, analysis of sites, design and post integration of sites and maintenance for Telecom carriers. 

In 2013, I started Energy Site Solutions, to answer a need for a comprehensive, results driven solution in the Solar & Turbine space. ESS provides full turnkey services for solar & wind companies locating, analyzing, leasing, zoning, permitting and constructing solar fields on a national basis.

My preparation for where I am today has been a hybrid of formal education and experience. I am also very grateful for the wonderful mentors I have had throughout my career.

I received my BA in Finance from Sacred Heart University and my AA in Pre-Law and Finance from Fisher College. As far as experience, the 25 years I spent in Investment Banking certainly prepared me for my entrepreneurship. Additionally, when I went into consulting, I was working with firms in this area on best practices to assist them in running their companies, which in turn gave me great insight to the telecom business.

Professionally, it has been particularly difficult navigating the waters to obtain new clients. This is a 40 year old industry (that is still heavily male dominated) and the big carriers tend to stay with the same site companies and are often not open to change.

Thankfully, I feel that our presence has grown nationally and we are starting to see new prospective clients pop-up. I also recently started considering expanding internationally.

Among my greatest strengths are my loyalty to my employees and my "promote from within" mentality, as it creates a family, not just a staff.

I also find strength in having a "Type A" personality. I am big into accountability, I do not allow employees to come to me for a problem unless they have spoken to a colleague to try and resolve their issue, and I limit the types of communication used at work, no text or emails.

My greatest accomplishment is building my team, which has become a family.

One of my goals is to grow NSS to be an international company and have already taken steps in that direction by consulting in Trinidad and Nigeria on Telecommunications. I also have a non-profit called Hobie's Rainy Day Fund, which I plan to obtain a 5013c for and continue to grow.

It is also a goal of mine, at some point in the future, to start a Woman's Shelter, such as Rising Phoenix, where women can bring their pets. Pets are often left behind when a woman escapes an abusive relationship, and I want to educate people on animal abuse and domestic violence. 

My Father and Grandfather always told me that I can do whatever I want, and that has served as my inspiration throughout much of my life. Helping my employees also inspires me.

I want to be remembered for being a loyal, generous, and kind person.
