I was a teacher for 35 years, teaching Physical Education for grades K-12. I made the decision to go into Real Estate after retiring from my teaching career because I always loved looking at houses. I have been in the industry for 11 years now!

I received my M.Ed. from Pennsylvania State University. In preparation for my for Real Estate career, I attended classes at the Pittsburgh RAMP Realtors Association and became licensed agent in Pennsylvania. I also have several designations for Investment Properties, Senior Citizen, SRO, e-Business. Every 2 years I learn something new through continuing education.

The biggest challenge I faced professionally, was during my time as the Union President in my school district. At that time, it was very much a man's world, and I worked hard to ensure that women we fairly recognized and represented and that changes were made to allow for things like paid maternity leave.

I am highly organized, compassionate and to-the-point. I am not a time waster, which clients appreciate and, in general, I am a happy person.

My children and my grandchildren are my greatest accomplishments. Second to that, during my time as President of the Teaching Union, we won 76 out of 77 points in our contract and I got them to put in paid Maternity Leave for which I am very proud.

I want to sell Real Estate for 5 or 6 more years and remain the top producer. Then I would like to train a young person to take over my position and go to Florida for 3 months out of the year. In order to do this I am continuing to get more organized and cultivating more connections.

My mother's life and story inspires me. She was a very educated, intelligent, and strong woman.In spite of living with a severely alcoholic husband, she earned both a Bachelor's and Master's degree, and went on to become an RN later in life and then a Nurse Practitioner. She taught me to always go after what I wanted and to never depend on a man.

I want to be remembered for always sticking up for the underdog, and for working to make the lives of others better.
