I came from the health policy arena and ran a grassroots health strategy. Whenever I worked with a non-profit I loved it. I spent about 10 years in the Marketing field I enjoy working at United Way.

I also do consulting and project-based work for government, businesses and communities. Through Sonrisa Leadership, a holistic leadership company under the umbrella company of Sonrisa Products LLC., I write grants and am a committed mentor and coach. 

I am currently writing my first book with my Mother-in-Law who is a preacher. She was one of the first women to be accepted into the Ministry.

United Way is a nonprofit organization that works with almost 1,200 local United Way offices throughout the country in a coalition of charitable organizations to pool efforts in fundraising and support.

My company Sonrisa Leadership is a holistic leadership company that provides mentoring, coaching and consulting. 

I enjoy marketing in all facets, but I particularly enjoy working with non-profits. I am a visionary and I am passionate about inclusion, advocacy and policy making.

Most of my knowledge in marketing has been garnered through experience. I also have a BA in Spanish and Classical Studies and an MA in Women's Studies in Religion from Claremont Graduate University.

My biggest challenge has been bringing the joyful and playful together with the serious intellectual - I was raised by radical Feminists.

My strengths include relationship building, strategizing, conflict-mediation, and connecting the dots to see the big picture.

My greatest accomplishment is my two children. Second to that, I am proud of the advancements I have made both professionally and personally. At Abbott Laboratories, I started as an Administrative Assistant and worked my way up to Senior Manager, and went on to run the state health policy strategy all over the country.

My professional goal is continue on the path towards leadership. I was told by a board member that I am being groomed for something special.

I am a lifelong learner and I am inspired by unfolding new experiences that I can learn and grow from.

I want to be remembered for the joy that I brought into the world.
