I went into this field of environment and sustainability becuase of my diverse interests and my educational background. I had taken a career test given by the Headmaster of Architecture for Disney and he just asked me to pick a career. He suggested I go into Architecture because of of my Education which consisted of a BA in Computer Science and Masters in Business Administration, a Masters in Construction  Management and a Doctorate in Environmental and Social Sustainability, as well as course work in Architectural Drafting.

 It seemed to be a natural progression to enter this field.

I have my MBA, in operational Management from Colorado Technical University; my Masters in Construction Management from Newschool of Architecture and Design, and my Doctorate in Environment and Social Sustainability from Colorado Technical University.

My biggest challenge has been my overcoming PTSD as the result of Domestic violence and finally experiencing healing to move forward.

I have enormous compassion for all life and a connection with nature, people, animals and my desire to protect them. I am a problem solver and great at analyzing .

My greatest accomplishment is raising 4 beautiful kids.

My Long term goal is to build sustainable homes customized for Veterans and their families that provide whatever they need. I picture 6 or 7 homes in a cul de sac. I would, along with my roommate who is a  a General Contractor and best friend, who grows organic plants, provide landscaping that is sustainable and beneficial to their health.  My son-in-law invented something to provide sustainable energy that I would use. I see me handing the Veterans the keys and the titles.

 I have done a lot of research on this already. I have discovered self sustained energy construction of buildings that can be applied to homes.

What inspired me most is the fact that when I was a kid in Los Angeles, we had smog days when we could not breathe and I want something better for my kids, for all the people and critters of the planet.

First of all I want to be remembered as MOM. So many people call me Mom other than my immediate family. Second of all I want to be remembered as thew Bird Lady because of my connection with birds- I am often called "The Bird Lady".

I have volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, and have donated to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled Veterans and AMVETS.

I love crafting. I do sewing, knitting, woodworking and almost any craft there is. I love gardening.
