I started my career in IT as a computer programmer.  After 25+ years as a programmer, I moved into Quality Assurance testing for software.  For the past year I have working toward transitioning to Technical Writing.  My goal is to become a proficient technical writer and produce clear and concise documentation that will help guide users in the functionality and process of software.

I have always been interested in computers! I was a developer for 25+ years and the company needed someone to test a new software application, so I took that on and have been doing it for 10 years. I write technical documentation, user guidelines and manuals for software applications. I have a commutative approach with people, mentor new employees and give my insight of best testing.

I prepared for my career through experience, training and I received an Associate Degree in Data Processing focused in Computer Programming.

My biggest challenge is  overcoming the fear of being able to do the job properly, getting everything right and being comfortable with covering everything.

My greatest strength is moving into documentation and transition, creative software, and writing reference manual for 3rd party software documentation.

My greatest accomplishment has been working my way up the ladder from data entry to my current role and getting to the point of knowing what I want to do. I am proud of my success, and becoming the go to person for handling the testing, software, and processes.

My goals professionally are to continue to do my best work for the company and to do more documentation.

I am inspired by learning new things and having new challenges.

I want to be remembered for mentoring others and helping them in their careers.
