I did not choose this career path, it chose me. I attended college and I was studying to become a teacher and I changed my mind. I decided I wanted to be a lawyer so I attended law school. I started working as an Administrative Secretary for the school district and 20 years later here I am.

I did not need to prepare for this career.

I have had to overcome an objective mentality.

Working with students and parents, as well as some of the staff, offering my opinion on certain topics rather than giving advice.

When I had taken the job my seat had been vacant for some time and so I had to train myself into the position and really look into the responsibilities that other's before me had to understand the job better.

I will be retiring in the next 2 1/2 years after a 20 year career in Education, at which time my plan is to spend more time with my 91 year old mother as well as put more time into my side business which is working as an associate of legal shield. I want to be able to grow the business to its fullest potential.

I see things that need to be done but my duties don't allow for me to jump in and do. But overall I enjoy what I do and that gives me my own inspiration.

I want to be remembered as a helpful and kind person.
