About me

I am a constant learner. I love to lead and make changes to benefit my patients.  The people in my family include my daughter Hannah, my son Cory and my husband (C.T.) The goal is to make a difference at the bedside but the entire healthcare system. In addition inspiring new leaders for success.  I am originally from Roanoke, VA, and I have been in Healthcare since 1994 and directing Cath Labs since 2000.

About my company

It is a non-profit hospital. It is a level 1 trauma center. As well as we have an academic affilitation with UCSF.

I chose this career path because

I chose this career path for the interest in medicine and helping people.

I prepared for this career by

I received a Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on Healthcare; Master in Healthcare Administration and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. 

The biggest challenge I've overcome

My biggest challenge is dealing with the institutions, more politics then others and forming a path.

My greatest strength(s)

My greatest strength is the Cardiac Cath Lab.

My greatest accomplishment to date

My greatest accomplishment is receiving my Doctorate Degree.

My personal/professional goals

My professional goal  is to move into a COO or CNO role.

What/Who has inspired me the most

I am goal driven to be successful, have a successful cardiology program and that is what inspires me.

I most want to be known/remembered for

I want to be remembered as a good healthcare leader and a person who had a successful cardiology program.

I participate in the following organizations/memberships

I am a member of NAPW and ACHE.

I have received the following Honors/Awards/Scholarships

Cardiovascular Credentialing International; Cambridge Who’s Who Healthcare Executives; National Association of Professional Women; Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Woman of the Year 2012-2013

I support the missions of these charities/volunteer my time

I volunteer in the community at rescue mission, also the American Heart.

I enjoy the following hobbies/interests

I enjoy spending time with my family and doing aerobics.
