From early on, numbers came easy to me. I love the logic of math... 2+2=4. I have always had a knack for solving puzzles and problems. Going into accounting just made sense for me. I am passionate about helping my clients grow their business and finding ways to budget and keep their money.

Much of my preparation was garnered through formal education. I studied Accounting at North Carolina University. I obtained my CPA license, my Life Insurance license, my Series 6, and Long Term Care and Annuities licenses.

When I was younger, the biggest challenge I faced as a woman was balancing work and home. Being a wife, raising two children, and running a business was difficult.

I have the ability to see the big picture and finite numbers. I am very successful at mentoring people.

My greatest accomplishment is my family. I have wonderful children and grandchildren. Second to that, I am very proud of being in business for 37 years.

This year my business has grown substantially and I am in a better position to someday sell it and transition it for my clients.

That said, my goal is to eventually sell the business and retire. I plan on making my second home on the Coast, my first. Near that home there is a library I would love to volunteer in. Upon retirement I want to do much more volunteering, particularly with Habitat for Humanity.

I am inspired by the fact that I have helped folks. Their obvious satisfaction of what I do has inspired me all these years.

I want to be remembered for being a great mother and grandmother. I also would like to be remembered for all of the pro bono work I have done, that was appreciated by many.
