I chose this career path because  when I was young I worked in a hospital & I enjoyed being around people. I felt that I had the opportunity to make a difference in peoples lives  & went to school to receive my RN degree.

I received a Master in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix, BSN from Missouri State University, Springfield & Associate in Nursing from Missouri State University, West Point, MO.  I am a Fellow of  The American College of Healthcare Executives.

The biggest challenge in the profession is that most Healthcare Executives are males. A woman in the role as Heathcare Executive needs to prove herself. I have attended National Conferences which has opened many doors.

My greatest strength is in relationship building,  problem solving, finance, regulatory, transparency & integrity & knowing your staff & people.

My greatest accomplishment is helping turn around a organization in financial strength & being a major leader in bringing the organization from red to black in a profitability & bring the team with you. I also serve as a mentor to up and coming women in healthcare.

My professional goal is  the position of  CEO  &  serve the team, the community during the healthcare reform.

I am inspired by making a difference, it  is my passion. The quality outcomes for people are important to me & I want to continue to mentor my direct reports.

I want to be remembered as a leader who showed integrity & made a difference in peoples lives & in healthcare.

I belong to Missouri Hospital Association, Missouri Organization of Nurse Leaders & the Missouri State University Mentorship Program.

I am a Board Member of the Rotary Club & Habitat for Humanity.

I enjoy deep sea diving & fishing. I participate in medical mission trips.
