Jeanne Fournier, Reverand
I chose this career path because
I have been ordained as a minister for 10 years, but my whole life I have worked in prisons, nursing homes and with battered women. I became a minister because it is was my calling. I also do weddings, christenings and celebrations of life.
I prepared for this career by
I was raised with 10 siblings and that in itself was an educational experience in dealing with people. My Mother was"spirit felt" and prayed all the time and I watched her. I was ordained through The Chaplaincy Institute of Maine after a two-year program. I also went to Catholic Girls Boarding School and took several courses in 2 years of college. I became a Licensed Vocational Nurse through the Simi Valley Adult School Nursing Program. After that I worked in ICU, and in the terminal patient area and for visiting Nurses for 7 years before I was ordained. I am also a Reiki Master.
The biggest challenge I've overcome
My biggest challenge in life was losing my son 10 years ago to AIDS and I wrote a book about it, "Grieving with Grace" (self-published Amazon, 2008) .
My greatest strength(s)
I am not afraid to speak in front of large audiences. I have excellent communication skills and I express myself, I am an outstanding listener and I can see past appearances. I am inner-guided, a published author and I love empowering women.
My greatest accomplishment to date
My greatest accomplishment is just feeling great peace and joy and being a fully awakened soul who is able to serve the planet.
My personal/professional goals
I am open to spending time ahead with a companion and I am easy to live with and fun! I would like to have a dog, a traveling companion and one who would cook me a meal.
What/Who has inspired me the most
My Spirit within me inspires me. Sometimes something happens during the day to make me smile and i have to say"I know that's You".
