I chose this career path because
I chose this career because it was built into me at an early age. My uncle was disable and would never go to family holidays because people didn't understand him, they were afraid of him and as a kid I didn't understand the concept of mental illness. I went to college to study law but changed to psychology, got married worked for Easter Seals and worked with autistic children. I went into mental health counseling when I was approached by my supervisor to go for my MSW. I love working with people and helping people to strive to get their. This was natural for me to want to help, using my skills and being that advocate for mental health. I focus on Trauma, Eating Disorders, Anger Management for teens and adults.

I received a Master of Social Work, MSW from Rutgers University School of Social Work and BA in Psychology , Mental and Social Health Services from Rutgers University,
The biggest challenge I've overcome
My biggest challenge is being a full-time mother to a son with severe disability, working 2 jobs, my private practice and professionally seeing the lack of resources needed,
My greatest strength(s)
My greatest strength is my love for humanity, the ability to see and feel the hope, my belief and the impact I made on lives.
My greatest accomplishment to date
My greatest accomplishment is my children, both are college graduates and surviving the many challenges I have went through.
My personal/professional goals
My professional goal is to be that trail blazer, the leader, doing the present, knowing how to connect with people. giving them that encouragement and the support they need.
What/Who has inspired me the most
I am inspired by waking up everyday, that is exciting for me, the difference I make in peoples lives and being that role model for my children.
I most want to be known/remembered for
I want to be remembered for being a passionate caring trail blazer, the person who made a difference and that will be the icing on my cake that I made a bigger difference.
