She chose this career path because it provided her with the ability to manage her own money, it enabled her to make major decisions, and see the things that effected her as a minority and as a woman. It enabled her to learn what she could do with her money to secure her future and her family's future. It enabled her to empower herself and in doing so to empower other women financially.

The biggest challenge I've overcome
The greatest challenge that she has had to overcome was being a single mother and also running a business, at the same time. Her daughter was ill and eventually passed away at 15 months old, and although this was an enormous challenge for her, she was taught several important lessons in life. Her daughter helped her to focus on the things that were important in life, and that she could actually take time away from the business, to devote to her daughter and that it was fine. She taught Jackie that you cannot be everything to everyone, and that there are only so many hours in a day, so you must pick and chose your clients more carefully, and that I needed to zero in on people I could serve best, so that I could strike a balance in my life especially with her. And although her daughter is gone, she provided her with the determination to strike a balance and determine what was important to one, for one and the value that she brought to the practice.
My greatest strength(s)
Jackie's greatest strength is her ability to provide her clients with excellent financial planning services. Her ability to motivate people think about their goals, what they want to achieve, what they value, how do they get to where they want to be and where do they go from there.
My greatest accomplishment to date
Jackie's greatest accomplishment was her daughter, and the lessons that she taught her. Jackie also takes pride in having finished college and putting herself through college on her own. Her accomplishments entail even with the little education, and very little guidance, that she had at the time understanding the value of an education with regards to creating a greater financial security, and then successfully pursuing her dream of achieving just that, even with the odds against her.
My personal/professional goals
Her goal is to have fewer clients and become a champion for financial literacy. She has appeared on television shows discussing finance and looks forward to having her own television show on finance, one day. She wants to speak at different events to educate people about finance by bringing a human aspect to it in order to bring financial terms to life.
What/Who has inspired me the most
What inspires Jackie the most is her love of relationships, and her love for people. She loves the fact that she can turn her clients' financial issues into success stories and that she is able to change the lives.
