I chose this career because it was a great opportunity for me.  A friend suggested that I do something for the community so I joined the board. My husband found out that his aunt died from Lupus and then this became a calling for me. I am very interested in helping people with Lupus and bringing awareness to others about this disease. I am responsible for the management of the foundation, coordinating and participating in fund-raising activities.

I prepared for my career by taking classes, attending trainings and through hands-on experience..

My biggest challenge is getting the support, funding, and help that is much needed.

My greatest strength is my ability to support people and calm them. I make those with lupus that come to us realize that they are not alone in their fight.

My greatest accomplishment is that the pharmaceutical companies are starting to call our Lupus Group for information and staying on top of the government and the state regulations. 

My professional goals are to bring in more people, to continue to spread the word about Lupus, and to help encourage the pharmaceutical companies to find a cure.

I am inspired by the support group and hearing their stories.

I want to be remembered as someone who was there for others in their time of need.

I enjoy reading, jewelry making and target shooting at the range.
