I always knew I wanted to be in logistics! I studied logistics in college and have been in the industry for 14 years. I previously held a position as Supply Chain Manager, where I was directly involved in pricing, marketing, and overseeing communications with customers in the United States and overseas. An opportunity presented itself to become involved in importing and exporting, and helping others to understand the process. I love meeting people of different cultures and learning from them.

My Bachelor's of Science degree in Production Operation Management and Transportation Logistics from Iowa State University, combined with my experience in supply chain management serves as the foundation of my preparation.

The biggest challenge I overcame was the learning curve that came with starting out my career in logistics. I simply didn't have the expertise and knowledge that I do now, and I was at a disadvantage because of it.

My greatest strength is that I am a fast learner. I am also not afraid to make mistakes and own those mistakes.

My greatest accomplishment is being able to teach people who are coming into the industry and seeing them grow.

Mt professional goal is to be promoted to manager.

I am inspired by my current boss. He has helped and mentored me along the way and he is a positive person.
