I chose this career path because
Gwendolyn Esco Davis is president & CEO of The Hascom Group, LLC, a management consultancy. With more than two decades of operational and management experience, she has developed a keen eye for how businesses get bloated with inefficiencies, cross-purposes, and clouded missions — and how they can retool for a sleeker, smoother, strategically focused organization.
Gwendolyn has served on several boards and special think-tank committees. An alumnus of Leadership Detroit-Regional Chamber -- class of 2006, she has been instrumental with organization turnarounds in local government, for-profit and other nonprofit’s to strategically change organizational and business transformation.
With 13.5 years of management consulting, Gwendolyn evolved to include life and business coaching to her practice.
I prepared for this career by
- I earned my certification in coaches practitioner in 2014 and certification as a business mentor in 2010.
- I earned my Masters degree in Economics and Bachelors degree in Business Mathematics.
- Worked in management positions in; for-profit, not-for-profit and corporations
- Balancing life with a growing family, husband and aging parents
The biggest challenge I've overcome
My biggest challenge is working through insecurities, such as public speaking.
My greatest strength(s)
My strengths are my straight forwardness and superior integrity.
My greatest accomplishment to date
I truly enjoy working with organizations who is looking for solutions for sustainability, and willing to make required changes to make it happen. I help identify the weak areas and non-productive areas. Develop strategy mapping for solutions and address identified problems. When the SM is followed organizations experience favorable best practices, operations sustainability and employee satisfaction.
My personal/professional goals
My professional goals are to help guide individuals to achieve his/her life goals through self-awareness and self-improvement.
My personal goals is to continue learning.
What/Who has inspired me the most
My three grandchildren inspire me everyday. They get a kick out of hearing my name in the community.
I most want to be known/remembered for
I would like to be known as an honest self-starter who believes in not giving up and knows when it's time to make changes.
