I chose this career path because
I have been in the Human Resource field for 20 years and most recently with Sodexo for over 2 years. Human Resources honestly found me! I started out working in the field when it was still called "Personnel", in a manufacturing company under the guidance of wonderful manager. I was like a sponge and learned everything I could. I grew to love the field and never left it.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from University of Phoenix and a Human Resource Certification from California Polytechnic State University. Currently, I am pursuing my HR Certification through the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
The biggest challenge I've overcome
My biggest challenge professionally has been earning a seat at the table. As a woman, I have had to prove my strategic significance as an HR professional and the importance HR plays in a business and the overall success of a company.
My greatest strength(s)
Among my greatest strengths are my abilities to handle employee relations and conflict resolution, along with my abilities to facilitate and communicate.
My greatest accomplishment to date
I feel my greatest accomplishment was purchasing my home as a single person in Southern California.
My personal/professional goals
My future is bright, I am starting a new chapter in my life. I will be in a new company and bring my strengths to add value and contribute to a team and make a difference. In order to do this I have revamped my LinkedIn and started a marketing campaign and sent out letters to about 50 companies' Hiring Managers, CEOs and Directors.
What/Who has inspired me the most
My inspiration comes from my love of HR because it is always challenging and California laws and compliance regulations are constantly changing. I love getting the managers to understand these changes.
I most want to be known/remembered for
I want to be remembered as a giving person and known for paying it forward and giving back to my community. I also want to be remembered as thought provoking.
