About me
Geraldine L'Heureux (also known as Gerrie) is currently the CEO of UIC Technical Services headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. In addition, as VP of Operations for UIC she has operational management oversight of UIC Maintenance and Manufacturing. Mrs. L'Heureux has over 20 years of management experience and worked in government contracting for more than 15 years. She has demonstrated expertise in strategic business development, financial management, contract management, and program management. She has held positions of progressively increasing responsibilities with Bowhead since 2000. Gerrie earned a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Maryland and a M.S. in Management from Florida Institute of Technology. Her previous positions include senior vice president of operations for the Southeast Division of Bowhead Support Services and vice president of the Patuxent River Division of Bowhead Support Services, which is now a subsidiary of the UICTS family of companies.

I chose this career path because
I chose this career path because my husband is in the military and we live near a naval Aviation center. I joined this company in the division of construction for the government.
I prepared for this career by
I prepared for this career with my business degree but then learned what I needed to on the job. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science in Management from Florida Institute of Technology.
The biggest challenge I've overcome
The biggest challenge I've overcome was moving into a CEO position for a large corporation and making sure that the right people are in the right positions for the company to succeed.
My greatest strength(s)
My greatest strength is being an arranger. I am a strategic person that likes to get things done.
My greatest accomplishment to date
My greatest accomplishment to date is being in a loving marriage and raising four loving sons. My husband is very supportive of my work.

My professional goal is to have a succession plan in place for my successor when I retire.

I most want to be remembered as having left the company in a better state than before I joined them.
