I was in college and my major was Liberal Arts. After graduation I realized that my education would not allow the kind of career that I wanted, so I went back to school for Education and began my teaching career. After many, many years of  being an educator I now teach freshman writing part-time at a community college.

I prepared for my career by getting my B.A. in Liberal Arts and then my M.A. in English and Education.

I've had many personal upsets, but I always keep on going and feel that I have conquered many challenges.

My greatest strength is being a great teacher. My students sign up early for my class and love it. I strive for them to be better writers.

My greatest accomplishment to date is starting a non-political blog four years ago, Scranton Culm, about poetry and essays. Click here to access the blog!

I started writing my memoirs called The Last Chocolate Covered Cherries. I want to finish it and have it published. I will also continue writing my blog.

My inspiration is my love of words and writing. I am also very curious about the world around me which keeps me inspired as well.

I most want to be remembered for being a strong woman.

In my freshman year at Chatham College I  received the Beneden Scholarship. During my teaching career I've been listed five times in Who's Who Among American Teachers.

I support many religious groups and military organizations like Wounded Warriors.

I enjoy bird watching and feeding but especially crows. I love animals but my most favorite are crows. I have a courtyard outside my home and like sit quietly to think and meditate.
