I began my studies and early career in social work. I always wanted to be able to practice with a faith based organization, and as I continued along my path I concentrated on Mental Health, because here is where I believe I can make the biggest difference and have an impact that will help so many people, espsecially women. I am also a  part time Pastor at the Victory Church in Harker Heights.

I am pursuing my doctoral degree and obtained my Masters in Social Work degree from Baylor University. My undergraduate degree was also in social work, and I graduated from the University of Mary Harding Baylor. Additionally, I served in the United States Army for 20 years. 

Social work is predominantly populated by women. That said, it is the men who are offered the better roles in organizations and also are paid better than their female counterparts.

I am a lifelong learner who loves to mentor and teach others. 

Even though I only am Pastoring part time, I am proud of the work that I do to help others and believe that raising my son are my greatest accomplishments.

I am looking forward to completing my doctoral program because it is my goal to teach Social Workers at the University level. I hope to impact as many lives as I can through my continued faith based, natural practice. 

My journey has had many bumps and turns but my faith and the people - especially the women and children that I have encountered during the way inspire me to keep reaching out and helping people to see they have choices. 

When people remember me I hope they know me as an unselfish woman who was always there to offer help and support and follow through.
