I began working in the treatment industry as an academic director for two programs where I designed and implemented a unique academic curriculum that allowed clients to continue or begin their educational journey while in treatment. Through that experience, I developed a passion for collegiate recovery and helping young adults achieve their academic goals. My extensive educational background and professional journey motivates me to collaborate with programs and individuals to expand the opportunities available to clients of all ages and walks of life.

I also continue to be an independent consultant, utilizing my expertise in both academic recovery and business development, to advise programs on building curriculums and creating strategic plans for long-term growth. Additionally, I  work with individual clients as an adviser to achieve their academic and vocational goals.

At Northbound, I direct the local and national business development and marketing efforts to increase revenue through referrals and expanding brand visibility. I manage the corporate brand as well as develop the marketing strategy, which includes market research, to identify new target markets, development and management of marketing communications and the utilization of social media for consumer outreach, communication, branding, and business to business relationships.

I have a long family history of the disease of addiction and mental health and I have a passion for recovery and helping those that suffer from the disease. I started my career working in healthcare on the development and financial side. I had a friend working in behavioral health and I became interested in exploring this realm. I started on the clinical side, as my background is in social work, by developing and running programs and then eventually moved into the marketing side.

My preparation has been a combination of formal education and experience. I received my B.A. in Metropolitan Studies from New York University and studied Social Work at Columbia University.

In the behavioral health field, most of the treatment programs are run, managed and advised by men, and it certainly has that "boys club" culture about it. It can be challenging being one the few women sitting at the table and making your voice heard, but it is also very empowering.

As a Vice President, mother of four, and a lacrosse coach, I am a skilled multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize. I also have a very strong sense of compassion which I think makes me a phenomenal leader for both colleagues and subordinates.

My family is my greatest accomplishment and I am also very proud of the work-life balance I have been able to achieve.

My personal goal is to one day own a farm or a coffee shop and live a simplistic, happy life.

My company has been a great inspiration as it is a healthy and passionate environment to be a part of.

I want to be remembered as one who inspired, not just managed.
