I do not see any choice but to take care of the people in my life who need me to help them. My dad is in his late 90s, my mom has dementia and my elderly aunt looks to me because she has no one else that can get her what she needs. I am the only one that can fill these roles . I studied  psychology and sociology and found it was my passion to take care of people. Both my sister and my son were challenged by addictions. My sister was in a horrible car accident and became addicted to pain killers. Later on in life she was misdiagnosed, and died of cancer. My son became addicted to pain meds which led to a heroine addiction. He is currently doing better and I look to a bright future for him. I believe that I will continue to do as much as I can to help. 

I received a degree from Miami University.

Finding a balance. The biggest thing in being a caretaker is being able to find time for myself and separate from the roller coaster of ups and downs of the people I take care of and finding time to distance myself so that I can be content. 

I am great at prioritizing, it is a necessity when you are caring for so many people. I am patient, persistent and I can get the job or tasks at hand done. 

I have been blessed with a fantastic network of friends and the strong family ties that touch my life, and this is a great source of pride for me. I am also proud to say that I am a Cancer Survivor. 

I see more caretaking in the future, but I also see more time for myself to travel with my husband. I am envisioning more speaking and maybe even a job in the rehab field to help people with addictions. I would like to write a book. 

I think it is innate for me to take care of the people who need my help, it is because I am the only one who can do it. I rewarded by seeing the results and benefits that those I help receive because of me. My strong ties with a great network of family and friends inspires me to keep doing. 

I want people to know I am helpful, kind and responsible, and that was able to get almost everything done!

I graduated with a perfect 4.0 from school.

I work with the Ladies Aid of the hospital and I am a supporter of the Leukemia Society

I read a lot and enjoy Yoga, and looking at the view from my condo on the lake.
