I pursued a career in social work because I always had a calling to help people. I soon realized there was a great deal of politics and red tape involved in social work. Working as a life coach affords me the opportunity to open more doors. Instead of examining the root cause of a person's problem, I can coach them to move forward and offer a different path and to help them to move forward.

It wasn't until I sent my own children off to college that I realized that there was a need to educate our children on how to be safe while living away from home and prepare them to survive in their new environment. I started Knowledge for College to help put young adults on a path that would help them to make good decisions and realize that they alone are responsible for navigating their own life.

I have an MSW degree and I am a certified life coach.

Navigating in a political climate that is inclined to lead some in the profession away from their purpose. 

Listening and hearing what is being said, guidance, and redirecting are among my greatest strengths, along with being a compassionate and caring person who is truly passionate about helping others.

It is the positive impact that I have had on the young people who's lives I have touched, and guided them to successes that they never thought they would enjoy. I am filled with pride when one of clients comes back beaming over their achievements that are a result of following the path that I helped clear for them. It comes in seeing a young man who was literally headed for jail, come back with his life on track and a college acceptance letter.

My goal is to continue building Knowledge for College and take it to the next level by reaching out and helping more people to find their way.

My children are my inspiration. I sent my son off to college without thinking about all he was facing. I prepared my daughter and realized how important, and what a crossroads, this was. I have always wanted to help people and found that I could impact and actually change the course of someone's life who thought they had no other options. 

I want to be remembered for helping to make a difference and believing that there is always a choice. I want to be remembered for believing in people, and their ability to change their course.
